Born in Santa Maria. Azores, passed away, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Thursday, May 16., 2002, at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Ines (Batista) and dear father of Fatima Melo and her husband Antonio. Joe Sousa and his wife Rita and Israel Sousa and his wife Cidalia, all of Cambridge. Loving grandfather of Jennifer, Shawn. Ryan, Kyle, Wesley, Krystal, Ashley and Courtney. Dear brother of Manuel Sousa of Massachusetts and Maria Machado of Connecticut. Mr. De Sousa was predeceased by his brother, Joe. He rested at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge, where the family received friends on Friday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Parish Rosary was held at the funeral home chapel, at 7: 30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial, was celebrated on Saturday, May 18, 2002 (today) at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church at 9 a.m., Father A. Cunha celebrant. Interment Parklawn Cemetery, Cambridge.
