FREITAS, Antonio John

Born March 1, 1960, passed away peacefully, on July 7, 2015, after a long struggle with cancer. He leaves behind his loving wife, Teresa, who together would have celebrated their 34th anniversary, on July 11, 2015; his sons Kevin (Brenda) and Mark (Ashley) and his seven month old granddaughter, Olivia (his little lady). Loving brother of Mary Ribeiro (Vic) and Joe (Lucy). Brother-in-law of Silvino Sousa (Dalia) of Portugal. Antonio will also be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews; Paula, Elexandre, Filipa, Vincent, Anna, Leah and Jacob. Predeceased by his parents, Manuel and Margarida Freitas. At Antonio's request, cremation has taken place. Was resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St. N., Cambridge, where the family received friends for memorial visitation on Sunday, July 12, 2015, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service was held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, July 13, 2015, at 11 a.m. Interment followed at Parklawn Cemetery.

Peacefully, at the Grand River Hospital, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, December 19, 2010. She was born November 22, 1937 to the late Manuel and Maria Jose Luis. Predeceased by her husband Manuel Bairos Freitas (2001). She is survived by her children; Tony (Teresa) Freitas, Maria Jose (Victor) Ribeiro and Joe (Lucy) Freitas. Adored by her grandchildren; Kevin, Mark, Vincent, Anna, Leah and Jacob. Survived by her brothers and sisters; Maria, Manuel, Maria Jose, Emilia, Luis, Angelo and Conceicao. Predeceased by Gloria, Antonio, Jose, and Joao. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where the family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 28, 2010, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be recited at 8: 15 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial, will be celebrated at St. Patrick's R.C. Church, 53 Wellington St., Cambridge, on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Parklawn Cemetery.
