    WHITE, Leo J. - At St. Mary's Hospital, on Thursday, Aug. 17, 1972, after a brief illness, Leo Joseph White, of 93 Park St., Kitchener, age 90 years; a lifelong resident of Kitchener and son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph White; formerly employed at the Interior Hardwood Co. for more than 50 years; a member of St. John's RC Church, the Holy Name Society and the St. Boniface Society.

    Husband of the late Mary Schneider, who predeceased him in 1948; father of Anthony J. White, Peterborough; Sister M. Leon, Waterloo; Dorothy (Mrs. Walter Schultz), Agnes (Mrs. Gordon C. Herchenrader), Marie (Mrs. Joh Read), and Betty (Mrs. Willard Siegfried), all of Kitchener, and Reta (Mrs. Lloyd Buchanan), London, and the late Florence; nine grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren also survive. Mr. White was predeceased by four brothers and five sisters.

    Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, after 3 p.m. Saturday, where the parish rosary will be recited Sunday at 8 p.m. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Monday at 9: 30 a.m., followed by funeral mass at St. John's RC Church at 10 a.m. Interment Woodland cemetery.

    Mrs. Leo J. White, 63, of 93 Park St. died late yesterday at her home following an illness of two years.

    Born Aug. 7. 1882. in Alsace Lorraine, she was the daughter of the late Anthony Schneider and Magdeline Haller. She attended St. John's RC. Church and was a member of the Catholic Women's League and Confraternity of the Holy Family.

    Her husband, Leo J. White, whom she married in Kitchener in 1903, survives.

    Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Walter (Dorothy) Schultz, Mrs. Gordon (Agnes) Herchenrader. Mrs. John (Marie) Read. Miss Betty. Miss Rita, all of Kitchener: Sister M. Leon, B.A., Notre Dame Academy. Welland: one son, Anthony. Peterborough: two brothers, Anthony, Waterloo; George, Kitchener: seven sisters. Mrs. Edward (Lena) Seftel, Mrs. Edward (Ida) Schnarr, Mrs. John (Katherine) German, Mrs. Harry (Otillia) Haus, Mrs. Harry (Genevieve) Knechtel, all of Kitchener: Mrs. Henry (Cecelia) Karges. Waterloo; Sister M. Cajeton. Notre Dame Academy, Waterdown. Six grand children survive and one daughter predeceased her 21 years ago.

    Funeral will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday from her home followed by services at St. Johns R.C. Church at 9. with Rev. Wm. Gleason officiating. Interment will be made in Woodland Cemetery. The body is resting at the home..

    Celebrated 50th Anniversasy of Marriage

    Mr. and Mrs. Joseph White of this city celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of their wedding on February 7. The occasion was obverved in the Sacred Heart Church by the singing of a solemn high mass the renewal of their marriage vows of half a century ago. The service was conducted by the Rev. Father Rogulski. Immediately following the mass, while they were kneeling at the alter they were presented with a gold-headed cane representing the staff of Aaron, and were given a bouquet of roses and a symbolic cross. After the service a reception was held at the Strange street home, and was attended by their many relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. White have 9 children, 30 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Mr. White is 70 years of age, while his wife is aged 68 years. They cam to this city from Poland in 1880.

    Joseph White - There passed away this morning in his 75th year Joseph White, 98 Strange Street. The late Mr. White had been in his usual good health until about six o'clock this morning when he was taken suddenly ill and he passed away by nine o'clock. He was an employee of the Rumpel Felt Company. Mr. White was a resident of this city for the past 45 years during which time he made many acquaintances. His death will be a giant shock to all who knew him. Surviving are his sorrowing wife, five sons and three daughters. They are: John, Frank, Leo, Adam and William all of this city, Mrs. Walter Rogowski, Mrs. John Rogowski, and Mrs. Charles Kaplin, all of this city. Two brothers, Frank and Michael of Kitchener and two sisters, Mrs. F. Lemanski, and Mrs. E. Lemanski of this city, also survive. The funeral will be held at the Sacred Heart Church on Thursday morning at 9 o'clock. Burial in the RC Cemetery.
