At the Guelph General Hospital, Monday, April 15, 1996, John McDermid, in his 93rd year of Guelph. Beloved husband of Sarah Foster and the late Jean Carter. Loved father of Barbara and husband Maurice Scarr of Cambridge. Loving grandfather of Wanda Elgie of Mississauga, Wendy Jacobson of Guelph and the Rev. Mark Scarr of Bowmanville and 7 great-children, Dear brother of Miriam Tocher of California and Frances Heron of Guelph. Friends will be received at the Wall-Custance Funeral Home and Chapel, 206 Norfolk Street, Guelph, on Wednesday (one hour prior to service, 10: 00 to 11: 00 a.m.). Funeral Service will be held in the chapel, on Wednesday, April 17, 1996, at 11: 00 a.m., with the Rev. Mark Scarr officiating. Interment Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge.
