LEE, Daniel H.

With great sadness, the family of Daniel H. Lee announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, in his 78th year. He is survived by his beloved wife Margaret of 55 years, and their loving children Grahame (Ann), Maureen (Rob), and his grandchildren Dale, Daniel, and Deanna, Gregory, and Sarah. He will be lovingly remembered by two sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends. Daniel was proud to be an educator and spent his career in Kenora, Cambridge, and Kitchener. He was always happy to see his former students and catch up with them. He took part in a variety of sports, such as his old timers hockey team and was a member of the Galt Curling Club. Daniel derived great pleasure from travelling, to warmer places, such as Acapulco and Hawaii and he was fortunate to be a snowbird and escape many winters at his Florida home. When Daniel wasn't in the sunshine state, he was at the trailer park. Dad was happiest in these two spots. He was an avid sports fan and he enjoyed watching sports on TV, especially the Boston Red Sox. In these last few years, as his memory was fading, he never lost his sense of humour. He is now at peace, but his words "What school did you go to?" will live on in our hearts, making us smile as we remember him. Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation at T. Little Funeral Home (223 Main Street, Cambridge) on Sunday, June 11th from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial, will be held at St. Patrick's Parish (53 Wellington Street, Cambridge) on Tuesday, June 13th at 11: 00 a.m., with a reception to follow back at T. Little Funeral Home. At a later date, Daniel will be laid to rest at, New Hope Cemetery.
