It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Emma Konings. Emma died on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 after a short but valiant battle with cancer. Emma was born in 1919 in Merkplas, Antwerp, Belgium. She is the daughter of the late Jacobus Snoeys, and Amelia Klieren. She is the wife of Peter Konings. Survived by daughters, Lillian (Dan) and Marion; son Jack (Jo-Anne); her grandchildren Michelle (Bryan) and Ben (Sacha); her great-grandchildren, Nathanial and Cameron; her sisters, Jeanne Van den Borne and Francisca Van Leent; her brother-in-law, Frans Vrinds. Predeceased by her sisters, Stephanie, Louisa, Marie, Joanna, Theresia, and Anna; brothers Albert, Joannes and Hendrik; sisters-in-law, Maria and Gerdina; brothers-in-law, Alfons, Frans, Florent, Gustaaf and Jan. Emma came to Canada with her family in 1959. Friends may call at the T. LITTLE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 223 Main Street, Cambridge on Thursday,February 17, 2011, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Rosary at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. AMBROSE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 210 South Street (at Chalmers), on Friday morning, February 18, 2011, at 11 a.m. Interment Mount View Cemetery.
