Peter Becker

A respected citizen of Waterloo passed on Thursday afternoon last in the person of Peter Becker in his 75th year. He had been a resident of Waterloo for 40 years. He was employed by the Waterloo Manufacturing Company for the greater part of this time. He was a member of Court Enterprise 73, C. O. F. Sur viving him are his wife, three sons, Milton of Sask., Henry of Waterloo and Herbert of Kitchener, and two daughters, Mrs. Inglis of Stratford and Mrs. C. Smiley of Port Dalhousie. The funeral was held on Sunday to St. John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo, thence to Mount Hope cemetery.

Peter Becker

In the passing of Peter Becker at his home, 40 Foundry street yesterday afternoon, Waterloo lost one of its best known and highly respected citizens. Born in North Easthope, the late Mr. Becker moved to Waterloo about 40 years ago. During the greater part of that time he worked in the employ of the Waterloo Manufacturing Company, where he was a valued employe. At the time of his death he was in his 75th year. Deceased took an active interest in lodge work, being a member of Court Enterprise No. 73, C.O.F. He is survived by his wife, three sons, Milton of Laura, Sask., Henry of Waterloo and Herbert of Kitchener, and two daughters, Mrs. Inglis of Stratford and Mrs. C. Smiley of Port Dalhousie. Three brothers, two sisters, and nine grandchildren also survive. The funeral will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, from the late residence to St. John's Lutheran church, thence to the Mount Hope cemetery.

Death of Mrs. Becker

Death claimed another victim in the person of Mrs. Peter Becker on Sunday morning. The cause of her death was pneumonia which was preceded by an attack of la grippe. Her early demise at the age of 35 years and 2 months has deprived five small children, the eldest
a girl of twelve, the youngest boy only six months old,o f a loving mother's care. The funeral took place at 1.30 p.m., Wednesday, to St. John's Lutheran church where a short service was held by Pastor Arendt and thence to Mount Hope Cemetery for interment.

Mrs. Becker nee Annie Schoenholtz daughter of Adem Schoenholtz was born in North Easthope and was married to Mr. Becker fifteen years ago last February. Eight years ago they came to Waterloo from Milverton, where they have lived ever since, Mr. Becker being in the employ of Mr. Joseph E. Seagram. Mr. Becker has the sympathy of the entire community in his hour of affliction.
