    Samuel Tohman, "was born March 28th, 1833. On October 6th, 1857, he was married to Lydia Hunsberger. He resides on his father's old homestead near New Dundee. They had a family of two daughters, Elizabeth and Lydia, when she died. After her decease of his wife he was married to Elizabeth Hunsberger, a cousin to his first wife. The second marriage took place May 14th, 1862. With his second wife he has fourteen children"

    Toman. - Samuel Toman was born in the County of Waterloo, Ont., on March 28, 1833; died in the County of Oxford, Ont., on Oct. 29, 1922; aged 89 y. 7 m. 1 d. He was a faithful member of the Mennonite Church for sixty years or more, and it is confidently hoped by his many friends that he fell asleep in Jesus. He was the father of 16 children of whom 12 survive him. There are also 44 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 1 sister to mourn his loss. Funeral services largely attended at the Blenheim Mennonite Church on Nov. 1, 1922, conducted by the brethren M. H. Shantz and M. Hallman from Heb. 4: 9. Interred in the cemetery adjoining.

    Moses Shupe was born in Waterloo county, Ontario, Canada, March 26, 1830, and died at Lost Springs, Kan., Dec. 14, 1912, aged 82 years, 8 months and 19 days.

    He was married to Charlotte Fisher In 1849 and they lived together 63 years.

    To this union 9 children were born, 7 boys and 2 girls, all of whom are living. There are now living 56 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

    His sickness started with La Grippe and a slight stroke of paralysis from which he never recovered.

    He was converted early in life and united with the River Brethren church of which he was still a faithful member at his death.

    The end came in great peace, falling asleep in Jesus. He often praised God with a loud voice during the days of his sickness and often expressed the desire of having God's word read and to be prayed with. He left unmistakable evidence of his acceptance with God.

    Funeral was held in the Evangelical church, services conducted by Bishop Engel. interment in I.O.O.F. cemetery.

    Mrs. Moses Shupe died at Lost Springs on July 27, 1913, aged 84 years 3 months and 24 days.

    Charlotte Fischer was born in the Province of Lotheringen, France on April 3rd.

    She was married to Moses Shupe at Dumfries, Ontario on August 7. 1849.

    To this union were born 9 children, all living at the present time besides 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren to mourn her loss.

    She was converted early in life and lived a consistent christian life to the end. She was always very much interested in the spiritual welfare of children and left many evidences of her trust in God.

    Abram Tohman, "the eldest, was born in 1804. He was married to Mary, eldest daughter of Samuel and Rebecca (Eby) Bricker. She was born November 3rd, 1806. After their marriage they resided on her father's old homestead near Freeport, Ontario, until February 25th, 1846, when the moved to Wilmot Township, a little west of New Dundee where they resided until his death which occurred December 12th, 1867. After his death the widow had her home with her son, Samuel, who now possesses the old homestead. She died December 27th, 1893."

    On the 12 of Dec, in Waterloo County; Ontario, of palsy, Abm. Toman, aged 62 years, 11 months and 5 days. He was buried at the Blenheim meeting-house Burying-ground, where appropriate funeral discourses were delivered.

    TOMAN.-Mary Toman (maiden name Bricker), widow of the late Abraham Toman, was born in Waterloo township, Waterloo Co., Ont., November 3, 1806, and died in the township of Wilmot, December 26, 1893, aged 87 years, 1 month and 23 days. She survived her husband for over 26 years. She leaves a posterity of 9 children, 65 grandchildren, 79 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Funeral on Dec 29th, 1893, on which occasion M.S. Bowman preached in German from John 14: 3, and Noah Stauffer in English from Isaiah 28: 29. Buried in Blenheim cemetery. Her end was peace.

    William Honsberger, "was born March 1st, 1810. He came to Canada when a young man. On April 15th, 1834, he was married to Veronica Hallman who was born May 14th, 1814, and died January 9th, 1894. After their marriage they moved on lot lying next to the old "Grody Farm" north-west of the Schmidt Mennonite Meeting House, Wilmot Township. Here they commenced in the bush in June, 1834, and remained until spring, 1836, when he purchased John Strohm's 100 acres situated about one mile west of New Dundee on which were cleared about 20 acres. Here they resided until their deaths. He died March 22nd, 1895. To them were born ten children"

    HUNSPERGER. - In Wilmot township, Waterloo Co., Ont., on March 22d, 1895, William Hunsperger, who was born in Montgomery Co., Penna., on March 1st, 1810. His age was 85 y., 21 d. He came to Canada with his parents about the year 1822. In 1834 he was married to Veronica Hallman who died about 14 months ago. They had a family of 9 sons and 1 daughter of whom 3 sons died before their parents. He was a member of the River Brethren denomination. He often longed for his release from earth, and to be with his God in heaven. Buried in the Blenheim Mennonite cemetery on March 24th. Menno Cressman preached in German and John Wildfang in English, both from Phil. 1: 21. A large number of people gathered to pay their last respect to the departed.
