Stroke fatal to Woolwich Farmer

Conrad Hedrich came to Canada from Germany in 1881; Son and daughter survive

The death occurred on Monday, following a stroke, of Conrad Hedrich, a highly esteemed resident of Woolwich Township. The late Mr. Hedrich was in his 77^th year. He had been confined to his bed since December. Five years ago he suffered his first stroke, and the second about two years ago. The third on Friday last resulted fatally. He was born on November 3, 1850, in Riemenrod Road, Alsfeldt, Germany. In 1881, when a young man, he came to Elmira and for a short time was employed on the farm of the late Carl Klinck. He then bought the farm in Woolwich Township which he has since occupied. In 1882 he was married to Elizabeth Hasenpflug by whom he is survived, as well as by two children, Gustav, of Woolwich, and Luisa (Mrs. Henry Israel), of Yatton. The funeral was held this afternoon to St. Paul's Lutheran church where services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Rolf.
