    Mrs. William Kerr

Death removed a highly esteemed Wilmot Township resident in the person of Mrs. William Kerr, aged 89, who died at her residence, R. R. No. 1, New Hamburg, on Tuesday. The late Mrs. Kerr would have celebrated her 90th birthday in March. Her death followed a week's illness and a wide circle of friends regret her passing. She was a native of Ireland, having come to Canada from that country at the age of eight years. Before her marriage she was Miss Hannah Illingworth. Mrs. Kerr lived the greater part of, her life on her farm home near New Hamburg. She was a member of the St. James' Anglican Church and of the Women's Auxiliary of that church and was active in the parish. She was predeceased by her husband some twenty years. A family of four sons survive her, namely Alfred and Walter on the homestead, Arthur in New Hamburg and William of Lumsden, Sask. One son, James Kerr, died in Kitchener one year ago, and a daughter, Miss Annie Kerr, died when quite young. There are also nine grandchildren and two deceased grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon with a service at St. James' Anglican Church on the Huron road. Interment will be made in St. James' Anglican cemetery.
