    Jutzi, Michael, son of Daniel and the late Veronica (Roth) Jutzi, was born in Oxford Co., Ont., May 4, 1900; passed to his eternal reward after a short illness, on Nov. 7, 1955; aged 55 y. 6 m. 2 d. He was twice married His first wife, Sarah Baechler, preceded him in death in 1944. On Jan. 14, 1945, he was united in marriage to Druscilla Bender Zehr who survives. In his youth he accepted Christ as her personal Saviour and was a member of the East Zorra A. M. Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by his father, 6 daughters (Alice-Mrs. Elmer B. Wagler, Hilda-Mrs. Elmer L. Wagler, both of New Hamburg; ruby-Mrs. Vernon Roth, and Velma-Mrs. David Gerber, both of South Easthope; Mary Ellen and Esther, at home),.one stepson (Nelson Zehr, Waterloo, Co.), 2 stepdaughters (Laurence-Mrs. Glen Roth and Catherine Zehr, both of Stratford), one brother (Nickolas, East Zorra), 3 sisters (Mrs. Ezra Streicher and Mrs. William Kelly, Tavistock; and Mrs. Elmer Gingrich, Baden), and 12 grandchildren. Funeral service was held at the East Zorra Church in charge of Henry Yantzi and Daniel Zehr. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery.

    TAVISTOCK-A well-known East Zorra farmer, Michael R. Jutzi, 55, died at his home, Lot 33, Con. 17. East Zorra, Monday following a lengthy illness. He was a native of the township, and was born May 4, 1900 a son of Daniel S. Jutzi and the late Mrs. Jutzi.

    Mr. Jutzi was twice married, his first wife, Sarah Baechler pre- deceased him in 1944. He later married Mrs. Pruscilla (Bender) Zehr, who survives. He was a member of the East Zorra Amish Mennonite Church, 16th Line.

    Beside his father and wife he is survived by orte son, Nelson Zehr. St. Agatha; eight daughters. Mrs. Elmer B. (Alice) Wagler, and Mrs. Elmer L. (Hilda) Wagler, New Hamburg: Mrs. Vernon (Ruby) Roth and Mrs. David (Velma) Gerber, South Easthope: Miss Es- ther Jutzi and Miss Mary Ellen Jutzi, East Zorra, and Mrs. Glen (Laurene) Roth and Miss Cather ine Zehr, Stratford: one brother, Nick Jutzi, East Zorra; three sis ters, Mrs. Ezra Streicher. and Mrs. William Kelly, Tavistock, and Mrs. Elmer Gingerich, Baden, and 12 grandchildren. One son and one sister predeceased him.

    The funeral will be conducted Wednesday at the residence at 1.30. followed by a memorial service at the East Zorra A. M. Church, 16th Line, with burial to be made in the cemetery adjoining the church.

    Jutzi - Daniel S., son of Michael and Marie (Shrag) Jutzi, was born in Oxford Co., Ont., Nov. 27, 1873; died March 2, 1960, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ezra Streicher, Tavistock, Ont., after an illness of 2 weeks; aged 86 y. 3 m. 4 d. On Nov. 8, 1896, he was married to Veronica Roth who died March 14, 1951. Surviving are 3 daughters (Annie--Mrs. Ezra Streicher and Elizabeth--Mrs.. William Kelly, of Tavistock; and Sarah--Mrs. Elmer Gingrich, Baden, Ont.), one son (Nicholas, Tavistock), 23 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 5 sisters. One daughter, one son, 5 sisters, 3 brothers, 4 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren preceded him in death. In 1902 he was ordained as deacon, in 1914 as minister, and in 1917 as bishop of the East Zorra A.M. Church, in which office he served faithfully until his retirement a number of years ago. During his ministry he was instrumental in the baptism of 817 people and performed 259 marriages. Funeral services were held March 5 at the East Zorra Church in charge of Daniel Zehr, Joel Schwartzentruber, and Henry Yantzi, with testimonies by Samuel Schultz, Moses O. Jantzi, and Chris Brunk.

    Iutzi.-Mary Iutzi (nee Schrag) was born in Perth Co., Ont., June 17, 1853; died March 16, 1939, in Oxford Co., Ont.; aged 85 y. 8 m. 29 d. In early youth she united with the East Zorra A. M. church under the ministry of Bishop Joseph Ruby. She was united in holy matrimony to Michael Iutzi, living in matrimony 55 years; and in widowhood almost 11 years. This union was blessed with 4 sons and 10 daughters, of whom 3 sons (Benjamin, Aaron and Simon) and 3 daughters (Catherine, Elizabeth and Lydia) predeceased her. Surviving are 1 son (Bishop Dan S. Iutzi) and 7 daughters (Magdalena, wife of late Christian Ruby; Leah, wife of Dan S. Zehr; Rachel, wife of Solomon Bender; Amanda, at home; Nancy, wife of Michael Jantzi; Mary, wife of Mrs. Jacob Yantzi; and Emma, wife of Samuel Wagler); also 53 grandchildren of whom 3 died, and 77 great-grandchildren of whom 9 died. One sister (Barbara, wife of late Chris Kennel of Wellesley) survives. Services at home March 19, conducted by David Schwartzentruber and at East Zorra A. M. Church by Bros. Menno Kipfer and Jac. R.     JUTZI - Sister Catharine Jutzi was born on the 14th of February 1813, and died in East Zorra, Oxford Co., Ont., on the 21st of March 1896, aged 83 years, 1 month, 8 days. She was a faithful sister in the Mennonite church, and was esteemed by all who knew her. Her husband, George Jutzi, with whom she lived in matrimony for 52 years, preceded her. Of her 8 children 6 survive her. She also leaves 36 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
