    Bierwagen, Carl (Charlie) - At his residence, 247 Franklin St., N., Kitchener, on Monday, Jan. 13, 1975, after a brief illness, Charlie Bierwagen, formerly of 34 Walter St., Bridgeport, aged 90 years; a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bridgeport; had been employed at Baetz Bros. Furniture Co. Ltd. as a cabinet maker for 50 years, until his retirement in 1959. Husband of Louise Carruthers; father of Mrs. Charles (Dorothy) Sawyer of Owen Sound, Mrs. Edward (Hilda) Pfeffer of Kitchener, Mrs. Harold (Del) Schaefer of Elmira; four grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren also survive. He was the last surviving member of his family; predeceased by his parents and five sisters. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, where the funeral and committal services will be held on Wednesday at 4 p.m., with Rev. Ralph W. Huras officiating. Internment will be in Bridgeport Union cemetery. Donations to St. Paul's Lutheran Church building fund may be made as expressions of sympathy.

    John Ferdinand Julius Bierwagen

    The death of John Ferdinand Julius Bierwagen, occurred at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H. Piellusch, 60 Simeon street yesterday morning in his 82nd year. Mr. Bierwagen had been ill four days. He was a retired mason and attended St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. He was born in Germany in 1848, and came to Canada in 1882. His wife predeceased him nine years ago, and he is survived by one son, Carl Bierwagen of this city, five daughters, Mrs. Conrad Rockel, Lanigan, Sask., Mrs. H. Hilker, Mrs. C. Shippanowski, Mrs. C. Heimpel and Mrs. H. Piellusch, of Kitchener, two brothers, Robert Bierwagen, Kitchener and Gustave Bierwagen of Germany, one sister, Mrs. Ernestine Bock, Waterloo, 15 grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren. One son died in infancy. The funeral will be held on Wednesday from the residence 60 Simeon street at 2 o'clock to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church at 2.30. Internment will be made at Mount Hope cemetery, Rev. J. Schmieder officiating.

    Late Mrs. Bierwagen

    The death of Mrs. Bertha Bierwagen occurred early this morning. The deceased was sixty-eight years of age and was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran church. She has resided in Kitchener for the last thirty-eight years of her life having come here from Germany. She is survived by her husband Mr. Ferdinand Bierwagen, five daughters, Mrs. H. Hilker, Louisa St., Mrs. C. Shipanowski, Louisa St., Mrs. C. Rockel, Saskatchewan, Mrs. H. Pilluch, Simeon St., and Miss Bertha at home, and one son, Mr. Charles Bierwagen, Pinke St. The funeral will take place on Sunday from the house 224 Waterloo street, at 2 o'clock to Mount Hope cemetery for internment.

    Mrs. Fred Bierwagen

    There passed away at 7: 30 this morning after a lengthy illness Mrs. Ferdinand Bierwagen, 224 Waterloo street. The deceased was about 68 years of age. Surviving are her husband, six children who are, Mrs. Rockle of Saskatchewan, Mrs. H. Hilker, Mrs. Shipanowski, Mrs. H. Piellusch, Miss Bertha and Charles all of Kitchener, and 16 grandchildren. Before her marriage she was known by the name of Bertha Paske. The deceased was a member of St. Matthews church. The funeral will be at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the residence to Mount Hope cemetery for internment.
