  • Notes
    • Death of Alfred Dykeman - The death of this gentleman took place in Galt on Monday last, after a severe illness of some three or four weeks. Mr. Dykeman, was a steady, industrious man and a good citizen, and it is with regret that we record his death at the early age of 32 years. During his illness he was cared for by the Oddfellows of the Galt Lodge, of which he was a member, and was buried by his brethren on Friday, the band of the Lodge playing the "Dead March." Mr. Dykeman leaves a widow and three small children to lament his loss, and in addition to the assistance given by the Oddfellows we are pleased t learn that a handsome sum has been contributed throughout the town to aid her in her severe bereavement. We are pleased to see the sympathy of the many friends of the family taking this practical form.
