    • JOHN VON GUNTEN.

      An old and highly respected resident of this city passed away early this morning, in the person of John A. VonGunten, aged 75 years. The death occurred at his residence, 236 Prospect street. He had lived here for the past 30 years, where he had conducted a jewelry business, and was known as a specialist in Swiss watch manufacturing. He had been ailing for the past year, but was seriously ill for one week. He leaves a widow, Matilda M., to mourn his loss; also two sons, F. J., of Winnipeg, and A. E., of this city, and one daughter, Mrs. F. S. Peace. The funeral will be held from his late residence Friday at 2 o'clock, and will be private. Interment will be made in Galt.
