  Mrs. Daniel Cameron Word has been received in town of the death of Christine Smith; relict of the late Daniel Cameron, formerly of Galt, in her 72nd year, the death occurring at the home of her son, Daniel, in Cleveland, O., Thursday evening. For a large number of years Mrs. Cameron was a resident of Galt, where her husband was one of the company of Cameron and Cowan, now Cowan and Company. He predeceased her some 35 years ago, but is still well remembered by some of the older residents of the town. Until removing from the town, deceased was a member of Knox Presbyterian church, where she had many friends. The following members of her family, all of whom are known in Galt, survive: Angus, Detroit; Daniel, Cleveland; William, Pearl River, NY; Mrs. Creighton, Schomber; Mrs. James Cochrane, Guelph; Mrs. C. H. Knowles and Mrs. J H Bennett of Galt. One brother, MR. David Smith, of Galt, also survives. The funeral will take place on Sunday afternoon, Feb 28th, at 3 o'clock, from the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. James Bennett, Water street north, to Mount View cemetery.
