  BECHTEL, Eileen (Mrs. John H.) - Peacefully, went home to be with the Lord, on Tuesday, September 4, 2007, at Heritage House, St. Jacobs. Eileen (Schmidt) Bechtel, in her 91st year, of Elmira, formerly of RR 2, Moorefield. Beloved wife of the late John H. Bechtel (October 21, 1995). Predeceased by her parents, Otto and Mary Schmidt; three sisters, Marie Allemang, Gertrude Leslie and Hulda Bier. Dear aunt of Bob and Doreen Leslie, Janet Allemang, Ross Allemang, Paul Bier and David and Diane Leslie. Lovingly remembered by her great-nieces and great-nephews and their families. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At Noon on Friday, transfer will be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Elmira for funeral service at 3 p.m. with Rev. Richard Frey officiating, followed by interment in Elmira Union Cemetery. In her memory, donations to Lutherwood Centre would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
