    • DEATH OF ALEXANDER KENNEDY

      The news of the death of Mr. Alex. Kennedy on Wednesday morning, was learned with genuine regret by a large number of our townspeople. The deceased was the second son of the late Mr. Angus Kennedy and had only reached his 27th year. He had been connected with the Galt Edge Tool Works for twelve years, the last six as traveller. A little over two years ago, he was united in marriage with the youngest daughter of Mr. John Scott, who is now left to mourn the early death of the companion of her youth. Some ten days since he was attacked with inflammation of the lungs, which was, we understand, aggravated by heart complications and although everything possible was done to save his life, it was known to his physicians at an early stage, that there was very little hope for his recovery. Death occurred on Wednesday morning, at about 8 o'clock. Deceased was a member of Alma lodge, A. F. & A. M., and of Galt Council Royal Arcanum. The funeral will take place on Friday afternoon, at 3 o'clock, from his lake residence, South Water St.
