  George Erb, "was born in Waterloo County, Ontario, July 28th, 1838. On August 18th, 1860, he was married to Mary Travis. They resided in Bosanquet Township, Lambton County, Ontario, where he was engaged in farming until his death which took place December 28th, 1878. To them was born a family of seven children" Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character.
