Three children were blessed to this union; namely, Willis, Grace, and Verda, who deeply mourn his early departure. One sister (Elvina) preceded him 8 years ago. He accepted Christ as his Saviour in his youth and united with the Mennonite Church in which he served faithfully to the end. Some of his last comforting words were, "It is well with my soul." Funeral services were held April 3, in charge of Bros. Ben Shantz and Oliver D. Snider. Text, Isa. 51: 12 first clause. "Silent thoughts bring many a tear for one we loved and cherished here;
God took him home; it was His will, but in our hearts he liveth still."
