  ERNST - At Huronview on Sunday, November 12, 1978, Rev. Nelson R. Ernst, of Exeter, formerly of St. Jacobs, in his 91st year, retired United Church minister after serving for 50 years. Beloved husband of Violet (Schutt) Ernst and the late Melinda Weber and the late Maggie Weber; dear father of Lily (Mrs. William Adamthwaite) of Calgary, Alta., Margaret (Mrs. Ernie Goren) of Port Elgin, Viola (Mrs. Harold Heins) of Lansing, Mich., Nelson Jr. of Enid, Okla., and Barbara (Mrs. Pete Duerholt) of Calgary, Alta. Predeceased by two sons, Howard (1943) and Lloyd (1942). Also survived by 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Resting at the R. C. Dinney Funeral Home, Main Street, Exeter, for visitation on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service at Exeter United Church on Wednesday, November 15, at 11 a.m. with Rev. James Forsythe officiating, assisted by Rev. Grant Mills. Interment in St. Jacobs cemetery on arrival at approximately 2:30 p.m. Kitchener-Waterloo Record Nov 13 1978 pg 27
