  DEATH OF MRS. JOHN CANT We regret to have to announce the death of Mrs. John Cant, which took place on Monday morning last, after a lingering illness. The deceased lady will be greatly missed in Knox church circles, she having been an active and useful member of that church for "many years. Mrs. Cant was also an earnest temperance worker and devoted much time to advancing the interests of that cause, in Galt and the surrounding district. She leaves, to mourn her loss, her bereaved husband, one son and two daughters; Who will, we feel sure, have the sincere sympathy of the community in their heavy affliction. The Dumfries Reformer 4 Aug 1892 pg 1 ______________ Died, In Galt, on Monday, August 1st, at 3 a.m., Margaret Veitch, Wife of John Cant, Aged 51 Years. Funeral, On Wednesday afternoon, August 3rd, at 4 o'clock, from her husband's residence, Forbes St., to Mount View Cemetery. Friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited to attend.
