  • Notes
    • Mrs. Margaret Hall

An old resident of Galt, died in St. Thomas on Sunday last and the body was brought to Galt and interred in Mount View cemetery, on Tuesday. Mrs. Hail will be remembered by many of the older residents. She and her husband came to Canada from Hawick, Scotland, 50 years ago, settling for a time in Beverly township and shortly afterwards removing to Galt. Mr. Hall carried on a contracting and lime business for a number of years and died in 1873. A few years after her husband's death, Mrs. Hall, removed to St. Thomas and has been living with her daughter, Mrs. Mickelborough, ever since. She was in her 78th year and has been a sufferer for a long time.
