  • Notes
    • Death of Thomas Francis Hincks

This young gentleman, second son of Rev. Canon Hincks, of Trinity Church, Galt, breathed his last at the Rectory on Saturday morning last, aged 20 years. He succumbed to an attack of rapid consumption. For some time Mr. Hincks was in the employ of the Merchants' Bank in this town, where he was brought into contact with many business men and others, and where he succeeded in earning the respect and esteem of all the customers of the Bank. Only a few months have elapsed since failing health compelled him to relinquish work, but so rapid was the progress of his disease that for the past few weeks he has been hovering between life and death. He was a young man of a most admirable and endearing disposition and his early death is deeply deplored by his friends. This makes the second son Rev. Mr. Hincks has lost within some six months from the same complaint; and it is needless to say that the sympathy of the entire town is with the bereaved family in their hour of deep gloom.
