  MRS. WARDLAW'S DEATH We deeply regret that we are called upon this week to announce the death of Mrs. (Dr.) Wardlaw, to whose serious illness reference was made in our last issue. Surrounded by her sorrowing relatives and friends, she quietly and peacefully passed away on Sabbath at noon, commending herself and all her dear ones to her Saviour and leaving messages for some of them who were unable to be present. It is just a little over two years since Mrs. Wardlaw's marriage and now after a severe illness, Inflammatory rheumatism and heart disease, of five weeks duration, borne with the utmost patience and Christian resignation, she has been taken home. As most of our readers are aware, the deceased was the youngest daughter of Dr. J. B. Lundy, late of Sheffield and Galt and now living in Preston and a sister of Mrs. F. G. Hughes and Mrs. J. Y. Graham, Galt. To the sorrowing husband, parents and friends, we extend the heart felt sympathy of the entire community in this their time of sorrow and trial. The funeral services, which were conducted by Rev. J. Porteous and Rev. J. Ridley, warm personal friends of the deceased, took place on Tuesday afternoon, at three o'clock and were very largely attended. The Weekly Reformer 27 Oct 1893 pg 1
