  JOHN C. IREDALE 1859-1955 Married: 1. Alice Lake 2. Lily Walsh John Charles Iredale was born in Minneapolis, Indiana on December 23, 1859 and moved with his parents to Toronto the following year. He came to this area in 1919 when the Canada Last Co. Ltd., a business established by his father William Iredale in 1864, relocated in Preston. Mr. Iredale served as president of the company, which made the wooden forms used in the manufacture of shoes, until the time of his death. In his latter years with the company, however, he was not overly active in the management of the company. He died on September 3, 1955 and is buried in Preston Cemetery. Sources: 1.
