  MR. J. G. MCINTOSH PASSES AWAY The death of John G. Mcintosh occurred on Saturday, March 28th, at the home of his son, W. A. McIntosh. 3rd Ave at the advanced age of 80 years. His death was not a surprise to many, as he had been in falling health for some time and the last years had been unable to get far from his home. Mr. Meintosh was one of the early settlers in the Dauphin district. He was born in Invernesshire, Scotland, in the year 1844. While a child of ten years he moved to Ayr. Ont, with his parents and from this time made his home in the east. In 1869 he married Emily A. Best, of Ayr, Ont. In 1882 he moved with his family from Galt, Ont., and settled in the Carberry district, later moving to Dauphin in 1891. Mr. Mcintosh was predeceased by his wife in 1913. He was the father of ten children five of whom are still Eving; Wm. A. and 5. G. W. of Dauphin, J. B. of Canora. Mrs. E. J. McDonald, of Netherhill, Sask, and Thos of Anoys, B. C., J. B. Mcintosh, of Canora attended the funeral which took place from the Presbyterian church Monday, March 30th. Interment was made in Riverside Cemetery.
