  Death of Thomas Bryan, Esq. The death of the above gentleman, which occurred at an early hour on Tuesday morning, could not be said to be unexpected. For some time Mr. Bryan has suffered from a complication of diseases, but the immediate cause of his death was form an affection of the heart. The deceased gentleman has been customs Officer at Galt for a number of years, and proved himself most obliging although a strict disciplinarian. The longer he was known the more friends he made and the more he was respected. His body was conveyed to Hamilton on Thursday morning, the remains being accompanied from his late residence to the train by a large number of our townspeople. We understand that the vacancy thus created will be filled by the appointment of Col. Thos. Peck, of Galt, which appointment will meet with the cordial approbation of every resident of this section.
