  FATAL ACCIDENT IN GALT - On Sabbath evening last a little son of Mr. John G. McIntosh, night-watchman, wandered out of the his father's house, near Mr. Scott's planning factory, and in a few minutes after being missed was found dead in the creek just below the factory. As there was a severe bruise on the child's temple it is supposed that the poor little fellow had attempted to cross a small bridge spaning (sic) the water at the spot, and had fallen over on the rocks below. Dr. Ferguson was on hand to render assistance in a few minutes, but the poor child was quite dead. It was aged only some 13 months. The parents have the sympathy of their many friends in their sore trouble. Galt Reporter Jul 15 1881 pg 1.
