- Maria Martin, "the eighth daughter of John and Anna (Weber) Martin, was born March 21st, 1849. On October 20th, 1867, she was married to Enoch, son of David D., and Anna (Musselman) Baumann. She died March 20th, 1870."

On the 20th of March, in Waterloo township, Waterloo Co., MARY, wife of Enoch BAUMAN, aged one day less than 21 years. She was a Sister in the Mennonite Church. She was buried on the 22nd at Christian Eby's burying ground, where Moses Bauman and Jos Hege, by the help of God, preached to a large concourse of people from Matt. 24: 34, 44 and Is. 40: 8. She was not sick any time. In the evening she prepared supper and the next morning she was a corpse
