    • Mrs. Catherine Frey
      Mrs. Catherine Frey, 82, died Sunday at K-W Hospital after a lengthy illness. She formerly lived at 75 Avondale Ave. South, Waterloo, but had been in nursing homes and hospitals for the past seven years.
      She was born Dec. 31, 1878, in Wellesley Township, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Kercher, and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church Waterloo, and the Ladies Aid Society. She was predeceased by three husbands, Ira Thomas, John Hamacher and Solomon Frey.
      Surviving are a son, Arthur J. Thomas of Waterloo; a daughter, Miss Lillian Thomas of Kitchener; a brother, Jacob Kercher of Kitchener; a sister, Mrs. Henry Diehl of Milverton; 10 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
      The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where the funeral will be conducted Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. A. L. Conrad officiating. Burial will be in St. James's Lutheran Cemetery, Elmira.
