Notes |
- Charles Everatt Passes Away.
Another of Baden's oldest residents has passed away in the person of Charles Everatt. He was the youngest son of Edward and Mary Everatt and was born in Haysville on Jan. 26th, 1850. He had reached the age of 81 years, 11 months, 26 days, and passed peacefully away late Saturday night. He remained on the farm in Haysville until about thirty years ago he, with his only sister who survives, and a niece, moved to Baden where they have made their home ever since. He was unmarried and leaves to mourn his sad loss, his aged sister, six nieces and two nephews, besides a host of friends.
Since his moving to Baden he has kept bees and until he was seized with a stroke ten weeks ago took a great interest in his bees.
The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon with the service at two o'clock at the house, from where the burial was made in the family plot at Pine Hill. Rev. J. H. Pogson, rector of Christ Church, Haysville, of which the deceased was a faithful member, officiated at the service. The bereaved have the sympathy of the whole community in their bereavement.
All is over, hands are folded,
On a calm and peaceful breast,
All is over, life is ended.
Now dear Charlie is at rest.
