  COWAN (Paris, Ont.) Jan. 8 - While George Cowan, a farmer living about two miles north of this place, was driving home last night, his horses became frightened at some object by the roadside and ran away, throwing him out of the buggy, and so injured him that death resulted about 10: 30 this morning.
