    • THE LATE JAS. ROBERTSON

      There died in Galt, on Saturday last, Mr. Jas. Robertson, at the advanced age of 75 years, 7 months and 20 days. Deceased was born in Dallas, Murrayshire, Scotland in 1818 and came to Canada, along with his wife and one child in 1845. He settled along Mill Creek, about three miles from Galt, where he worked at quarrying for a long time. About 13 years ago, he secured employment with Messrs. Goldie & McCulloch, where he has ever since worked. Deceased was a staunch member of old St. Andrew's church. He was the father of a family of 9 sons and 6 daughters, four of whom survive him, viz., Mrs. John McKenzie of Georgetown, Louis and Roht. of Galt and Richard of Freelton. The funeral took place from his late residerice, Glebe street and was attended by a large number of sorrowing friends and relations.
