  DICKIESON, ALEXANDER We regret to learn of the death, quite suddenly, of Mr. Dickieson of North Dumfries, close to the Puslinch Townline. He had not been very well for some months but he and his friends thought his illness was not of a serious nature. On Tuesday morning, January 18, 1887, he arose and took some breakfast but shortly after grew faint and passed away. The cause of death is supposed to have been from weakness of the heart or apoplexy. Mr. Dickieson was a very worthy, quiet man. He carried on farming extensively in Eramosa for some years, moving to North Dumfries about five years ago. He leaves a widow and quite a large family. -Information from the death certificate: Born in Scotland. Aged 65 years.
