    • STEFFLER, Elizabeth Marie "Betty" (nee Nafziger) Passed away with grace and dignity, surrounded by the love of her family. Sadly, yet with gratitude, we said our last goodbye to our beloved mother, grandmother and friend on July 20, 2010 at the age of 86. Predeceased by her husband Gerald Steffler (1983), her parents Daniel and Nancy Nafziger and by her infant sister Alice. Beloved mother of Diane Schumacher (Larry), Dennis Steffler, and Gary Steffler. Beloved grandmother of Andrea (John), Chad, Laura (Chris), Kendra (Vince) and Luke (Rochelle) and great-grandmother of Hayden. Dear sister to Vera Wismer (the late Harold), Edna Zehr (the late Laverne), Floyd (Erma) and Leonard (Joyce) and sister-in-law to Dorothy Steffler (the late Walter), Bernice Steffler (the late Clarence), Wilfred Steffler (the late Rita) and Donny Steffler (Margaret). Predeceased by brothers Elmer (Anne), Vernon (Elda), Emerson (Delphine), sisters Dorothy Martin, Erma Coverette (Lyle) and brothers-in-law Albert Steffler and Cyril Steffler. Betty spent many joy-filled years at her cottage at Lake Rosalind, where she was known for her beautiful gardens. She absolutely loved children and cherished her grandchildren. Betty was a lover of animals throughout her life, and was always present to give her help and support to those in need. She was an amazing cook and her kitchen was always filled with the aroma of her home cooking. Special thanks to the staff at Winston Park for their compassionate and loving care of our mother. Special thanks to Dr. Bryant and Dr. Cruickshank , to the head of nursing Chris-Anne Preston and to the nurses Elsie, Breanna, Tala, Shauna, Lois and Sandra. Betty will be especially missed by Tom and Edith Poole and Len Kaster and was thankful for their wonderful friendship. Cremation has taken place. Visiting will be held at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home , 621 King St. W. on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations to the Colitis Foundation, St. Mary's Hospital or to "plant a tree" at the Dignity Memorial Grove, would be appreciated. Online condolences may be sent to www.ratzbechtelfuneralhome.com "My mom is a never ending song in my heart. A song of comfort, happiness and being. I may sometimes forget the words, but I will always remember the tune."
