      DEATH OF G. B. BALLARD


      Mr. George B. Ballard died on Sunday afternoon after an illness of three weeks of typhoid pneumonia. He came to Clinton in the spring of last year to take over the grocery business of ... Graham which he conducted up to the time of his illness. He was married his wife being a daughter of Rev. Mr. McRae of Cranbrook. A warm hearted, out - spoken man was George Ballard and he made many friends here who were saddened because of his untimely death. The remains were taken to Listowel on Monday evening's train and next afternoon the funeral took place to the cemetery at that place. Rev. Dr. Stewart conducted service at the house before the remains were conveyed to the station. The pallbearers were W. R. Counter, G. D. Roberton, J. Johnson, H. Bartlifi, J. Constantind and J. Crooks. Among the relatives who were at the deathbed and accompanied the remains to Listowel were: Mrs. Ballard, sr., mother of deceased, Rev. and Mrs. McRae, parents of Mrs. G. B. Ballard, and her
      brother Dr. McRae.
