- MRS. CHARLES HURAS
A well-known resident of Stratford since coming here 43 years ago, Mrs. Charles Huras died at her home, 241 Railway ave., this morning. She had not enjoyed the best of health for six months and had been confined to her bed for the past week. Mrs. Huras was the former Miss Elizabeth Seidewand. She was born in Wellesley township and spent the early years of her life on a farm near Linwood. She was 85 years of age. Mr. and Mrs. Huras had the happiness of celebrating their golden wedding on Feb. 19, 1941. Her husband, Charles Huras, survives. Mrs. Huras was a faithful member of St. Peter's Lutheran church. Surviving are six sons, Irvin, 196 West Gore st.; Albert, 170 West Gore st.; Oscar, 20 Pine st.; Clayton, Se Strachan st.; Edward, R.R. 1, St. Jacobs; Charles, Kitchener; and one daughter, Mrs. Edward Goosen, Grosse Point, Mich.. There are also four brothers, Fred, Frank and Armond in Cleveland and Oliver, Elmira and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Cook, and Mrs. Etta Turrel, both of Detroit. Thirty-two grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive. The body is resting at the Heinbuck Funeral Home, 156 Albert st., and funeral services will be conducted there Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. Interment will follow in Avondale cemetery.
