  BAUMAN, Omer M. - Peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital. Omer M. Bauman in his 74th year of RR 1, Waterloo, formerly of West Montrose. Loving and devoted husband of Rita (Musselman) Bauman for almost 51 years. Loving father of Darla and Roger Steinmann of West Montrose, Greg and Liz Bauman of Moorefield, Jeff Bauman of Waterloo. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Joel, Noah and Jacob Steinmann, Adam, Derry and Megan Bauman. Brother of Clare and Eileen Bauman, Alice and Ozias Burkhart, Lester and Linda Bauman, Vera and Laverne Bauman. Also remembered by a number of nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents, Ivan and Lovina Bauman. At Omer's request, cremation has taken place. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira for a memorial visitation on Friday, June 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service for family and friends to celebrate the life and faith of Omer will be held at the Elmira Mennonite Church on Saturday, June 28 at 11 a.m. with Pastors Steven Janzen and Renee Sauder officiating. Interment of cremated remains will be in Elmira Mennonite Cemetery. In his memory, donations to the Mennonite Central Committee or the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
