  Isabella was christened in the parish of Hutton Cranswick in North Yorks on the date listed above. Her parents were William and Jane Swatridge. She married George Foster on Dec 17 1852 in Gristhorpe, North Yorks. They emigrated to Ontario Canada in 1853, living first near Albion (now in Etobicoke, Ont) and later north of Toronto. George, Isabella and three children (Rachel Ann, William and Thomas) moved to Wellesley Township (Waterloo County) in 1860, farming the West 1/2 of Lot 6, Concession 12 west of Hawkesville.
