  Bawtinhimer, S. proprietor of Marble Works and manufacturer of and dealer in marble, slate, &c. Was born in the county, 1836 Business has been established since 1873. Illustrated Atlas of the County of Waterloo, H. Parsel & Co., Toronto - 1881 ________________________ Death of a Former Resident of Galt There died in Waterdown, on Monday evening, Smith Bawtinhimer, a former resident of Galt and brother of Mr. Levi Bawtinhimer, Main street east. Mr. Bawtinhirner was for many years a resident of Galt and for a number a years he travelled for the late John Scott and at his death went into partnership with the late William Park and continued until his partner's demise, after which he continued the business in his own name. Abort the year 1879, he and family moved to Waterdown where he has resided ever since. He was in his 57th year and leaves a wife to mourn his loss. The Weekly Reformer 3 May 1894 pg 1
