- ADAM, John Alexander (Jack) - Of Cambridge, on Friday, November 27, 1998 at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in his 74th year. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen Adam (Saunders) (September 1998). Dear father of John and Linda, Susan Beal and her husband Michael, and Carol Rice, all of Cambridge. Lovingly remembered by three grandchildren, Michael Beal and his wife Larissa, Karrie Beal and Wayne Welsh, and Brett Bacsek and his wife Jacqueline. Also survived by one brother Kenneth and his wife Val of Restoule, ON. Predeceased by his parents Clarence and Muriel Adam and one brother Wray of Sault Ste. Marie. Mr. Adam was born in Jordan, Ontario and has been a resident of Cambridge since 1975. He was retired from the University of Waterloo. At Mr. Adam's request cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Lung Association, Waterloo Region, 30 Dupon[sic] St. E., Waterloo N2J 2G9 or the Canadian Cancer Society, Cambridge Unit, 1315 Bishop St., Unit 145, Cambridge N1R 6Z2 would be gratefully appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Barthel Funeral Home, Cambridge 653-3251.
