- Discover Woman Dead in Cistern
Mrs. Paul Hiller, Waterloo Street, Had Suffered Protracted Illness
Suffering from the effects of an extended illness Mrs. Paul Hiller, 46, of Waterloo street, left her home some time and was found dead in a cistern behind her house shortly before four o'clock.
The body was lifted out by Fireman Sylvester Hoffman assisted by Deputy Chief Constable Harvey Grasser and P.C. C. Farnham.
Coroner Dr. L. V. Lang was called but. decided an inquest would not be necessary.
Mrs. Hiller, a daughter of Mr. David Shelley and the late Mrs. Shelley, was born at Doon, Ont., on March 9, 1890, and was married in September, 1913, to Mr. Hiller. She was a member of St Peter's Lutheran Church.
In addition to her father and husband, she is survived by one son and one daughter, Lome and Alice, both at home, one brother, Lincoln Shelley, city, and four sisters, Mrs. Minerva Bissett, Mrs. Ella Daley, both of Kitchener, Mrs. Simon Richert, Bridgeport, and Mrs. Alice McLouth, Chicago, Ill.
The remains are at Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home.
