  DEATH of R. M. RICHARDS. Mr. R. M. Richards for forty years farmer in Wellesley township, died in Guelph on Tuesday morning in his 79th year. Mr. Richards come out from Cornwall, England. his father being one of the first settlers in Guelph. The deceased was married to Miss Robins and subsequently moved to Pickering and hence to Wellesley, retiring some years ago and coming back to Guelph. Besides his widow, he leaves four sons and four married daughters, viz , son and two daughters in Washington Territory, U. S., one daughter in Springville, Ohio, one in East Fort William, Ont., a son John in Wellesley and two sons, James and, Isaac, in Guelph. Mr. Richards was much interested in the Sunday School work of the Methodist church, having been superintendent and teacher for years. - Mercury Waterloo Chronicle, 2 Apr 1896, p. 8
