      Mr. Jos. Springer.

      The death took place early this morning at his home near Kossuth of Mr. Joseph Springer, eldest son of the late Sheriff Springer, deceased being in his 76th year. The deceased was well and favorably known, and his passing away will be learned with sincere regret by a large circle of friends. To mourn his death there are left two sons. Rev. Anges Springger, of Arthur, and Bailie, at home, and four daughters, Annie, of Kitchener, Vera and Ida, at home, and Emma, of Toronto. One brother, Walter, of Detroit, and two sisters, Mrs. C. E. Moyer, of Kitchener, and Mrs. Keenan, of Detroit, also survive. His wife predeceased him 16 years ago.

      The funeral will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from his late residence to Zion Church, near Kossuth, for service. after which interment will take place in the Kossuth: cemetery.
