    • Mrs. Mary A. Laidlaw, 83, a former resident of Brown City who has lived here 16 years, died Wednesday in the home of her daughter. Mrs. Clarence E. Woolley, 1202 Seventeenth street, after a long illness.

      Mrs. Laidlaw was born Dec. 26, 1876. in Guelph. Ont Her husband, Charles Edward Laidlaw, died Jan. 3. 1927.

      Mrs. Laidlaw is survived by a son, Dr. Harold W. Laidlaw, Bad Axe, a daughter Mrs. Wool-ley. Port Huron; a brother, Nelson Bechtel, Yale; four grandchildren, Edward Laidlaw, Dearborn; David Laidlaw and Darlene Laidlaw, both of Bad Axe, and Don Woolley, Port Huron, and several nieces and nephews.
