  KAIPPEL, John - Peacefully, on Friday, April 14, 2000, at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Listowel, John Kaippel, in his 94th year, of Listowel, formerly of Elmira. Beloved husband of Marie (Reist) Kaippel, to whom he was married to for 58 years. Dear father of Elizabeth "Liz" and Werner Leuthold of RR 4, Elmira and Marion and Kenneth Pollard of Elmira. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Eric and Heidi Leuthold, Kareen, Brent, Grant and (Sherry) and his great-grandson, Austin Pollard. Also survived by one sister, Gisela of Austria. Also lovingly remember by his many nieces and nephews, all in Austria. Predeceased by one brother and two sisters. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Wendell Grahlman officiating followed by interment in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Elmira.
