  SOLOMON, Marlene (nee Brenner) Passed away gently and peacefully at Golden Years Nursing Home surrounded by her husband and family on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 in her 83rd year. Marlene was a devoted wife and mother. Survived and loved by her husband Carl of 61 years, and children, Keith (Pat), Richard (Michele), Susan (Doug Cunningham), Karen (Geoff Ireland), Peter (Deb) and Nancy. Cherished grandmother of 11 and great-grand- mother of seven. As saddened as we are, we take great comfort in knowing that Marlene is now reunited with her son Marc (1977), and grandson Dave (2011), her parents, Cornelius and Alfrida Brenner, her four brothers and four sisters. Born in Kitchener, Marlene was involved in the CWL at St. Mary of the Visitation Church for many years, loved to play cards, especially euchre and solo, and on occasion, visit the casino. Marlene's family will welcome friends and family to Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Boulevard, Cambridge on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Visitation Parish, 16 Cooper Street, Cambridge on Monday morning at 11 a.m. with reception to follow in the church hall. Those who wish may make a memorial donation to St. Mary's Building Fund or charity of your choice.
