Knechtel, beloved husband of Thelma Matthews; brother of Harold of St. Thomas, Norman of Nobel, Russell of Brandon, Fla.; Albert of Stratford, and Betty (Mrs. Wally Hammer) of Hamilton; in his70th year; predeceased by his first wife, Agnes Schmidt in 1961.
Born in Amulree, came to Preston from Waterloo in 1961; employed with Carling Breweries for many years; member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Kitchener; veteran of World War II and member of Kitchener and Waterloo Royal Canadian Legions. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, Preston, where funeral and committal service will be conducted on Wednesday at 2 pm. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Kitchener.
