    • A native of Wellesley Township who lived most of his life in Waterloo, Edward C. Duench, 78, 138 Erb St. West, died Tuesday in K-W Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Duench was born Nov. 20, 1880, a son of Christian Duench and the former Mary Gilbert. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo, and of the church brotherhood. His wife, the former Caroline Mueller, died in 1929, and a son Milton died in 1952. He is survived by one grandchild, Carolyn Duench. The body is at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, Waterloo, where the funeral will be conducted Friday at 3 p.m. by Rev. A.L. Conrad. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Waterloo.
