  Henry Merklinger - By Record Correspondent - Tavistock - July 2 - Henry Merklinger, 72, died at his home here today. He had been in failing health for many months. A native of Wellesley Township where he was born March 2, 1877, Mr. Merklinger has resided in Tavistock for the past 42 years. He retired ten years ago from a plumbing and tinsmithing business. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife, a son, Loren, Kitchener; and daughter, Mrs. Henry (Frieda) Neeb, of (?) Easthope Township (?), John, Tavistock; two (?) Mary Thompson, Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., and Miss Lydia Merklinger, Waterloo, and three grandchildren. A son, Walter, predeceased him in 1945. The body is resting at the James H. Francis Funeral Home. The funeral will be held Monday at 2 pm with a private service at the residence. Later a memorial service will be held in St. Paul's Lutheran Church and interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
